Friends of mine who live in countries such as Canada, UK & the Netherlands- and who are Christians, understand that a God-centered society mandates that we live as if everyone counts as a person created in the image of God. We have example such as the year of Jubliee- wherein the land was required to rest every 7 years & debts were to be forgiven. These are clearcut examples of "Socializing" or a managed economy. Today, when you are forgiven a debt, thats income to you, and the IRS sends you a 1099c. Today, most middle-class Christians prefer to say that the poor should just work their way out of their situation. But that's more than a little like those James rebuked for telling them "Be warmed & filled." I appreciate my Christian Brother rudy form Holland, who admits that yes, the taxes are high in his country, but his family has everything they need (as well as are able to save for the kids to go to college) & the poor are at least cared for. Aww, this was a really good quality post. In theory Id like to write like this too (not to competing with you :) ) - I understand its taking some time and real effort to make a good article... but whatt can I say... I procrastinate a lot and never seem to get something done.
